Basters: Not Just for Getting Pregnant

I go through at least one baster per year.  The bulbs all wind up falling off, the suction sucks (not in the good way), and I have to invest in another one before thanksgiving arrives.  My favoritest thanksgiving turkeys requires regular basting, and the chickens I roast year round wind up impeccable if I've baste every 15 minutes.

This Tovolo baster looks like it's constructed differently.  Sturdily. Like it might actual work and hold up for more than a year of basting fowl.  At $20, it sure better.

I'm gonna order it and report back.

You can buy it here if you're so inclined: Tovolo Easy Reach Baster.

Upcoming recipes this week:
Green Bean and Wild Mushroom Casserole
Paleo Pumpking Pie

Time to get on it.

  1. Yes miss Anna Tovolo is one of the best. I have it with the three tips. One brush one regular and one fanned out. The brush is great to clean it good before putting up. It is also a no drip baster. you will love it. Did you finally get that pumpkin pie right??

  2. Chip! I'm so glad to hear that this is a good baster. Funny how the older we get, the more we are thrilled by things like good turkey basters.

YES! I finally got the pie right. And I discovered there is no such thing as a sugar free pumpkin pie. Recipe will go up Thursday.

    XOXO
