Prop 37, Labeling GMOs

The advent of more detailed food labeling has been a god-send for those of us diagnosed with celiac or food allergies.  Eleven years ago, I had to figure out what every ingredient meant and if some strange ingredient contained gluten.  With food labeling laws putting the food manufacturer's feet to the fire, we all benefit by being better informed, able to make educated decisions.

Don't we all want to make a well-informed decision?

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) have been at the center of quite a bit of controversy.  Obviously, Big Food says GMOs are OK to eat.  But the results of a recent study shows certain GMOs to cause cancer in animals, and in Europe all foods containing GMOs must be labeled.

I invite you to take a listen to the Angriest Trainer podcast that I do with fitness-savant/trainer Vinnie Tortorich.  We interview Jessica Gottlieb about Prop 37, an upcoming ballot initiative in the state of California which, if passed, will set a precedent for food labeling for the rest of our country.

I personally would like to have my food labeled properly if it contains GMOs, so I will vote Yes on Prop 37.
