Back to Reality

OK, Free Radio season two is wrapped, and it's time for me to get back to GF work. Back to cooking at home, back to buying my own groceries instead of relying on free on-set meals, back to the reality of being a semi-employed GF housefrau who cooks for her family instead of insisting on Thai food every night for 6 weeks of filming.

In the middle of the whirlwind, during a precious day off, Peter Siaggas (our amazing director) and I headed to one of my favorite GF locales, The Sensitive Baker. We had been talking about eating bagels and cupcakes for days on end, so on our big field trip to the SB, we each dropped about $100 and ate as much as we could right there on location. I had been bragging to him about how good this place is, and SB did not let us down. I bought the vegan pizza, brioche, bagels, breadsticks, two mini chocolate cakes, cupcakes, and a bottle of water. We were sad to discover that they weren't doing sandwich service while we were there. They did heat up a pizza and a bagel for us, or else there would've been tears.

well that is fabulouse GF news. i am, however, apalled that you could each eat 100 dollars worth of food at once. which brings me to my next point...i bought that tracey anderson cardio dance workout dvd ala gwyneth paltrow's advice (b/c i am her stalker)and i tried it an am in no way capable of doing it...at all. YOU however have a dance background and i could see you doing it and enjoying it. and it is supposed to change your body and stuff...would you like to have it? i would give it to you as a gift b/c well...you're my bestie and i lerve you. it should go to someone who could actually do it. i got too frustrated and wanted to beat something.

I love The Sensitive Baker's vegan pizza crusts. We brush them with extra virgin olive oil and top with sliced tomatoes, garlic and herbs.

Jenny-
I totally want the DVD if you don't see it in your future. Is it a good workout?

I still have about $85 of what I purchased in the freezer. I could never eat that many baked goods in one sitting as it would kill me. In fact, it kinda burnt me out on baked goods for a little while, which is not necessarily a bad thing (for my waistline at least).

Karina-
So glad you stopped by! I have one pizza left that I'm gonna eat for lunch today. Their crusts are the perfect size for an individual meal.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I also bought their delicious choc chip cookie dough, which was eaten raw by the entire family in about 5 minutes.

yes! it is a great workout. its just..well...hard! im not gonna lie to you. i have zero skills when it comes to learning dance moves. and i think if i really put my mind to it i could learn it...eventually over a looooooooooong time and lots of practice. but alas i just don't have that kind of will. when i work out i have about 30 minutes (or less) in mind and i need to get it done. this is just too complicated for me as it is too (hugh) dancey. but there is a mat workout that i might get and then do a different form of cardio. dance is not for me. but i will mail it to you next week.
